THE SHORT VERSION
This website sets no cookies and does not measure visitor numbers. There is no contact form and no newsletter. We build no profiles and do not track you across other websites. The website runs on servers in Switzerland, and all its content comes from there.

HOSTING
The website is hosted by Infomaniak Network SA in Geneva, on servers in Switzerland. When you open a page, your browser sends technically necessary data to the server, including IP address, date and time, the address requested, referrer, browser type and operating system. These server logs serve the operation and security of the website. We do not use them for statistics and do not pass them on. How long they are kept is set by Infomaniak. The basis is our legitimate interest in operating the website securely under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP); for visitors from the EU, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
LANGUAGE SELECTION
If you open northandmind.com without a language, the server reads your browser's language setting once and forwards you to German, English or Italian. Nothing is stored.
FONTS
The fonts EB Garamond and Lato are served from our own server. Your browser does not connect to Google, and no data is sent to Google.
IMAGES AND FILES
All images and the free PDF files are on the same server as the website. No content is loaded from third-party servers. If you download a free file, it is recorded in the server log like any other page request, nothing more. We do not record who downloads which file.
COOKIES AND STORAGE
This website stores nothing on your device. No cookies, no local storage, no session storage. That is why there is no cookie banner. The one exception is the editing interface at /keystatic: when the provider signs in there, it sets cookies for that sign-in. This does not affect visitors to the website.
PRODUCT FINDER
The product finder runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are not stored, not sent and not analysed. They are gone when you reload the page.
LINKS TO ETSY
This website links to our Etsy shop. As soon as you follow such a link, you leave this website. From then on, Etsy Ireland UC's privacy policy applies. We have no influence on how Etsy processes data. If you buy there, Etsy processes your order and payment data and passes on to us the details needed to fulfil the order.
WHATSAPP CHANNEL
The website links to the North & Mind Studio WhatsApp channel. It is an ordinary link: as long as you do not click, nothing is loaded from WhatsApp and nothing is sent to WhatsApp. If you follow the channel, the privacy policy of WhatsApp Ireland Limited applies. As the channel's operator, we see neither your phone number nor your profile.
CONTACT BY EMAIL
If you write to northandmind@outlook.com, we use your address and your message only to reply to you. The mailbox is run by Microsoft (Outlook.com). Microsoft may process emails outside Switzerland, for example in the EU or the USA.
CONTENT MANAGEMENT
The content of this website is stored as files in a repository at GitHub Inc. (USA) and transferred from there to the server at Infomaniak. Only the provider has access to the editing interface, secured by a GitHub account. No visitor data reaches GitHub.
TRANSFERS ABROAD
Data arising from your visit to this website stays in Switzerland. Data only goes abroad if you send something there yourself: when buying on Etsy, following the WhatsApp channel or emailing us.
YOUR RIGHTS
You have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Since we process no data about you other than server logs and any emails, a request will usually concern only these. Write to us at northandmind@outlook.com. You can also complain to a supervisory authority, in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
CHANGES
If anything about how this website works changes, we will update this statement.
